Beyond the Unicorn Fever

In 2021 and in the first half of 2022 the global VC and startup ecosystem experienced an exceptional number of money inflows, large-size rounds with very limited due diligence from investors and companies reaching over €1B valuations in a very limited amount of time.
The word “unicorn” probably became one of the most abused in the tech space, reflecting the general market sentiment of growth at all costs.
